Destination Iowa grants $5 Million to Renovation
Gov. Kim Reynolds announced the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum will receive a $5 million grant toward a $20 million renovation project of the museum space. It has been 30 years since the museum had a major renovation.
The ‘Destination Iowa’ grant was issued by the state’s economic development agency through a program that promotes tourism. The $100 million Destination Iowa program, according to the state, “invests in transformational projects that will bolster the quality of life in Iowa communities and attract visitors and new
residents.” Destination Iowa funds were made available to the state from the Federal ARPA program.

MidAmerican Energy Announces $1 Million Gift
Kelcey Brown, CEO of MidAmerican Energy Company, a member of the Berkshire Hathaway Energy family, took the stage during the annual Hoover Presidential Foundation Celebration Banquet last Friday to announce their gift to the Timeless Values | Modern Experience campaign for the renovation of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum in West Branch.
“We are proud to be among the supporters of this campaign,” Brown stated.
